After 3 years organizing, on Saturday 22nd April 2023 we enjoyed this International Destination Wedding in Salamanca.
They chose to celebrate their luxury wedding in Salamanca, in homage to the city of origin of the bride’s grandmother.
And it is in this particular finca because of the beauty of the surroundings and the historical past of it that would transport the guests to another era.
Before going into the final details of this wedding, I want to tell you the love story of L&A (for privacy reasons I will refer to the groom as A).
A was on vacation in Cuba and met Lisandra, it was a full fledged love affair. They kept in touch and maintained their long distance relationship for 6 months until Lisandra moved to Dubai with A to strengthen their relationship, after more than 2 years together, on a trip A asked Lisandra for her hand on Valentine’s Day 2020.
When they decided to celebrate the wedding in Salamanca (in homage to Lisandra’s maternal grandmother), and hired Pamela Events to help them in the organization of this International Destination Wedding, a worldwide pandemic appeared in our lives. Even with the uncertainty of how long it would last, they decided to go ahead and try to celebrate the wedding in September 2021.
The months passed, and the pandemic did not make things “easy” to celebrate a wedding in which 80% of the guests had to travel from different countries of the world, so it was delayed to September 2022, but Lisandra had the delivery of her Master’s degree on the same date, so it was finally decided to postpone it to April 2023.
Weekend of Celebrations: Destination Wedding of L&A
The long awaited moment to celebrate the Wedding in Salamnca arrived, on Friday April 21, 2023 I arrived in advance to prepare the programs with the schedules and activities of the Weekend in each room of the Hotel Hacienda Zorita (all the rooms were rented by the bride and groom), on the other hand I had to prepare a surprise that the groom’s parents asked me to prepare in advance.
On Friday the bride and groom wanted to delight their guests with a wine tasting and a tour of the Hacienda Zorita Vineyards, then in the evening a pre-wedding cocktail party was organized with a candy bar with Cuban flavors as a nod to the origins of the bride, by Bendito Cupcake and live music by the band “Noches de Swim”, which made the guests did not want to end the party. Mission accomplished, the guests got to know each other and enjoyed themselves before the wedding day.
. Saturday 22nd April 2023, the long awaited day of the wedding finally arrived. Early in the morning I was at Hacienda Zorita (after 12 hours of work on Friday) with my coordination team to prepare the remaining details and coordinate the team of makeup artists and florists.
The wedding would start at 4:30 pm, but 2 hours before the photographer Nacho Alba was already at the Finca taking pictures of the groom and his groomsmen, and the last preparations of the bride and her bridesmaids.
It is important that you spend the moments before the wedding with your friends and family to relax your nerves.
Some guests arrived late, so the ceremony started a few minutes late (others had to be left outside waiting until the bride arrived at the altar so as not to interfere with the photos, it is important that there is a person coordinating the time of entry just to have the guests seated and those who arrive late to wait a few minutes).
While the guests were enjoying the Cocktail (in which we should have had live music, but the band hired for Saturday arrived 1 hour and a half late, so neither guests nor bride and groom noticed the setback, I along with my team of coordinators of Pamela Events solved and sought the solution) we moved the flowers from the Ceremony to the Banquet before the entrance of the guests to the Banquet.
During the Banquet and the party the guests congratulated me and thanked me for all the work of the Wedding, and even the bride and groom told them that it had been a magical, elegant and fun Wedding and above all very well organized. The work of Pamela Events during the whole weekend of the wedding in Salamanca was an average of 12 hours a day to achieve more than the expectations of the bride and groom when they hired us.
